ECONOMIC SUSTAINABILITY

The adult programs at Petaluma People Services Center are run by SonomaWORKS

SonomaWORKS is an employment assistance and training and job retention program developed to meet the needs of Sonoma County residents who receive TANF (Temporary Aid to Needy Families). Recipients of TANF are expected to become gainfully employed. Through funding provided by the Sonoma County Human Services Department, SonomaWORKS employment

workshops and job search assistance program offers a variety of services tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual. All of the services developed are geared to helping participants prepare themselves to compete for, obtain, and retain good-paying jobs and to become independent of public assistance. Participants must be referred directly by the County of Sonoma.

Petaluma People Services Center offers the SonomaWORKS employment services program as a partner in The Employment Group, a consortium including PPSC, Goodwill Industries of the Redwood Empire, The CENTER and West County Community Services.
