iRIDE

Volunteer Driver Program for Seniors on the Move. Need a ride? You’re not alone.

More than 20% of Americans age 65 and older no longer drive, according to AARP’s analysis of the national Household Travel Survey. For many older adults, the loss of driving can mean more than inconvenience - it can limit access to medical care, social connection, and everyday independence.

At Petaluma People Services Center, we believe mobility is essential to aging well. That’s why we host the iRIDE, a volunteer-powered transportation program designed to help older adults remain active, engaged and self-reliant in their own homes and communities. iRIDE exists to ensure no one has to navigate alone.
