SHARE of Sonoma County opened its doors on August 1, 2014 and now has its 10th homeshare in a trial period.  We at SHARE can validate this Huffington Post statement simply because of the sheer volume of inquiries we receive on a daily basis.  Our flyer is attached for your reference and any networking on our behalf is greatly appreciated.

Currently, SHARE is looking for home-seekers –

1) a home-seeker to live with a woman in Petaluma – services provided in exchange for no rent. An IHSS worker (with a valid driver’s license) is ideal as there is potential for monthly IHSS income.

2) a home-seeker to live with a woman in Petaluma – services provided in exchange for no rent.  There are no IHSS hours in this homeshare.

3) a home-seeker to live with a woman in Petaluma – services provided in exchange for partial rent of $300/month.

4), 5) & 7) a home-seeker to live with a  woman in Santa Rosa – services provided in exchange for no rent.

7) 2-bedrooms available within a Sebastopol home.  Each room is $550/month, which includes utilities.  A first and last month deposit is required.  Assistance can be provided through several rental assistance programs throughout Sonoma County, if the home-seeker is unable to afford the deposit.

8) A second bedroom within a home in Sonoma.  The room is $800 per month, utilities included.  A first and last month deposit is required.

There is an enormous amount of interest in service-in-exchange homeshares whereby the home-provider opens his/her home to provide a free private bedroom and shared or semi-private bathroom for a person who, in exchange, provides 15 hours per week of defined services.  This is near and dear to SHARE as our goal is primarily to utilize existing housing within Sonoma County in order to enable our seniors to age-in-place.
