During the first week in October advocates and organizations across the nation come together to celebrate mental health and raise awareness about current mental health issues, educate the community about mental illness, and reduce barriers such as stigma, which can prevent people from getting help. We recognize that the tragic events on Sunday in Las Vegas can be very unsettling, so for individuals directly affected, we are offering free in-person counseling services at our Community Clinic. Additionally, since we also understand that these events may cause a level of anxiety in many of us that also needs to be addressed, PPSC will offer our quality services to any community member on a sliding scale. Please contact PPSC at 707 765-8488 for more information.
PPSC is in its 43rd year of service to primarily the Petaluma Community. Its mission is to improve the social and economic health of the community by providing programs that strengthen the dignity and self-sufficiency of the individual. Some of the services that are offered by PPSC include senior services (including Meals-On-Wheels), family and individual counseling, homeless prevention, adult and youth employment services.
