PPSC has been at the heart of the Petaluma community for nearly four decades.  It consists of 57 human services programs based on best practice research with measurable outcomes. We are a community of caregivers existing within the larger community whose sole purpose is to help make people’s lives better. We strive to do this one child, one adult, and one senior at a time. Last year we served over 8,000 people through our programs. The hands-on, face-to-face support that individuals receive from PPSC is wide ranging; counseling, job placement, daily hot meals, rides to the doctor, case management, financial assistance for homeless prevention, information and referrals.  We are looking for innovative, business savvy and driven individuals to become part of our Executive Management Team.

PPSC is seeking qualified candidates to assume the roles and responsibilities of PPSC 2018 Dir of Counseling. As the Director of Counseling and Prevention candidates will be expected to perform highly advanced (senior-level) managerial work and provide direction and guidance in strategic operations and planning related to the Counseling and Prevention Department. Work involves establishing the strategic plan and goals and objectives; developing policies; reviewing guidelines, procedures, rules, and regulations; establishing priorities, standards, and measurement tools for determining progress in meeting goals; coordinating and evaluating program activities; and reviewing and approving budgets. Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of others. Work is performed under minimal supervision and performance is based on the effective operation of the administrative function. This position requires a candidate that can complete and plan day to day operations while keeping the future vision and sustainability of the department in focus at all times. Qualified candidates for Director of Counseling and Prevention should be California-licensed psychotherapist (LCSW, MFT, Psy.) and or Master’s Degree or experience in a related field (must possess clinical knowledge) with a minimum of two years administrative experience.
